2022 Camino Inglés Stages (cancelled)

The English Way earned its name due to the large number of pilgrims from north-western Europe, notably England and Ireland, who travelled by sea to the Spanish ports of A Coruña and Ferrol before continuing their pilgrimage on foot to Santiago. In the 14th and 15th centuries, this route became so popular the British crown began issuing special licenses to vessels carrying pilgrims. (Brierly guidebook)
