Watch For:
Espinal – Many herb and thistle bundles on doors. Founded in 1269 as a place to protect pilgrims from bandits.
Zubiri – Danger! The descent into Zubiri is a steep rock outcrop that is very slippery when wet. Consider busing past this if it’s raining.
Larrasoaña – History The town is full of Jacobean symbols and armorial shields on its traditional stone buildings. Path: Turn right over the bridge past the Church of San Nicolas XIIIc.
