Watch for:
Ferreiros – Beyond Ferreiros is the 100 Km marker. (The single most vandalized object on the camino per Wise Pilgrim).
Portomarín – History: Until 1950, the town was lower down on the banks of the Miño River. Because of a new dam and reservoir, the town would be under water. The town people disassembled and reassembled their two Romanesque churches and transported them, along with a few historic mansions, higher up the slope. You can see the old town under water as you cross the bridge.
Leaving Portomarín – Important! Go to the Wise Pilgrim app and read about the options. TURN RIGHT at the end of the bridge.
